Brent Bement, CPA
Today I will do what others won’t, so tomorrow I can do what others can’t.
– Jerry Rice
Entrepreneurship runs deep in my veins, and strategic big-picture planning excites me the most. Growing up watching my father run his own CPA firm, I knew from a young age that I wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a business owner. Though I almost pursued a degree in marketing, my path led me to accounting and becoming a CPA, where I’ve found my passion in helping others grow and succeed.
Founded by my father in 1989, Bement & Company has been a key part of the Bement family since that time. I began working with him in 2007 and in 2017 I became the sole owner and president. Since then, I have been running and growing the firm and have loved working with the greatest co-workers, employees, and clients across the nation.
More recently, I founded Wealth Game, a podcast and education platform where I teach business owners and investors how to apply the tax and investment strategies of the wealthy. My mission with Wealth Game is to fill the gaps left by our education system, empowering individuals with the knowledge, strategies, and tactics to thrive as entrepreneurs, business owners, and investors.
Born in Oklahoma and raised in Utah, I spent two years in Argentina on a church mission, where I learned Spanish and cultivated a deep commitment to service. This experience has greatly influenced my approach to both life and business.
As a CPA, I pride myself on my strategic approach to working with clients, business owners, and my own investments, with a focus on helping people be strategic about their wealth, reduce taxes, and streamline operations. Being helpful is one of my core values, and I strive to extend this to everyone I work with—whether they’re clients, employees, or fellow firm owners.
I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from the University of Utah, followed by my CPA license. In addition to my professional work, I dedicated over 12 years to working with youth and families in need through the Respite program with health organizations in Utah, where I coordinated weekly activities to provide these kids with fun social and outdoor interactions.
I currently reside in Utah, where I’m passionate about the outdoors—hiking, archery hunting, mountain biking, golfing—and, most importantly, spending time with my wife and five kids.
