If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. – Proverb

Some of my earliest memories were at my family’s small business. My father would work and inventory the warehouse, and I’d sit perched atop the forklift, pressing every button I could find. Forklift operator led to furniture installer, which then led to a 10+ year career in technology, private equity, and operational roles. I’ve loved all the experiences I had, but my roots are in small business.

I co-founded Franklin Alliance with the mission of empowering small businesses to transition and grow. I believe that small businesses, the foundation of our economy, are often underserved. Our goal at Franklin Alliance is to provide a platform for these businesses so that they can thrive and grow while retaining their local spirit.

Before Franklin Alliance, I was an interim executive at Areté Capital Partners, a special situations advisory and investment firm focusing on private equity performance improvement in the middle market. I worked in a variety of businesses, often in states of distress, which taught me the importance of teamwork and sound financial management.
Prior to that, I spent many years in Private Equity at firms such as Graham Partners, Author Capital, and Turn/River Capital where I learned how to be an investor, investing in a variety of industrial, technology, and services based businesses. Before that, I began my career at Intuit, where I held roles in Corporate Finance, Product Management, and Corporate Strategy & Development.

All of these experiences stem from my education, first at Hamilton College where I earned an undergraduate degree and later at the University of Chicago Booth where I earned my MBA. I currently live in Brooklyn, NY, but have lived in places such as San Francisco, Chicago, and Miami. Outside of work, I’m an avid traveler, having been to 30+ countries, and recently picked up golf as a hobby.
